Hi! I’m Erin

I believe that life is a journey and that we are all deserving of having others come alongside us on the journey. At my core, I believe in lifelong learning and am innately curious. I find myself constantly in awe of all that is within this world. I love engaging with people and the stories they bring.

My own journey towards becoming a licensed mental health therapist began years before pursuing any college degree. Stories, experiences, people, and places each had an impact on me and left me wanting to make a difference which led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

The most impactful learning, however, came from being in the arena. I spent time in the non-profit sector, where I worked with youth who were involved in the justice system and sex trafficking. I then journeyed abroad working in crisis response and in refugee camps.

Upon returning, I worked with youth in a recovery school and then joined Rethreaded where I developed and led a program for survivors of sex trafficking. Throughout the years I have been given opportunities to work with those who are incarcerated, in group homes, treatment centers, and aftercare programs. Additionally, I have developed and offered specialized training for groups and organizations both within the United States and abroad.

In addition to working in private practice, I work as a guide at Onsite Workshops where I facilitate group workshops and intensives.

When I am not working, I am busy being a mama of a little one and I enjoy hanging out at local coffee shops and in the outdoors. I lived in Florida for many years and love the beach. My heart longs for travel and discover all this world has to reveal. My ideal destination is anywhere warm and tropical where I can scuba-dive.

My Approach

I believe that counseling is a brave and deeply personal experience and I believe in both an individualized and collaborative approach. I aim for authentic interaction and strive for excellence. My approach is strongly influenced by an understanding of trauma. The therapy is process-oriented, trauma informed and healing centered. I have specialized training in a wide range of methods including experiential therapy, psychodrama, somatic therapy, ecotherapy, and adventure-based therapy and incorporate these methods into the therapy process.
